It is set in the unspoiled natural beauty of a game farm on the wooded banks of the Vaal River. This piece of paradise is situated approximately 1 hours drive from Johannesburg and 2½ hours from Bloemfontein, 10 km outside Parys on the R500 ( Parys - Fochville Road).

We combine true South African country hospitality in our award winning resort in either our fully equipped self-catering cottages or full board accommodation in the African Village Hotel. Furthermore, a fully equipped caravan park (with all modern amenities) is also available for the outdoor adventurer

CARAVAN PARK

We can cater for 50 Caravans and 50 Tents with 2 ablution blocks, one at the river and one at the top of the park. There are electrical points shared between 4 campers.

Some stands are available on the river bank on a semi-permanent basis, and rates can be obtained from our offices.

SELF CATERING UNITS

Rondawels are 4 sleepers, with 1 double bed and 2 single bunk beds and have only a shower. They are situated right on the river bank, about 300m from the pool and bar.

For that special treat, entertain the family in the Smile Inn Restaurant, which offers an excellent A´ la carte menu with a variety of dishes to choose from.

For the sports lover and indoor games enthusiast, the beautiful Sportsmansbar provides big screen coverage of all major sporting events as well as pool tables, table tennis, darts and video games.

We have a host of leisure facilities - such as - swimming pool (including baby pool), tennis, volleyball, trampoline, putt-putt, kiddies playground,...

Canoes and tubes are also available to experience the peace and tranquility of the mighty Vaal River.

HOTEL FACILITIES

Corporate Accommodation – in the African Village Hotel. It consists of 20 double rooms equipped with 2 single beds, aircon, TV, bathroom with shower over bath, a kettle, 2 cups, 2 glasses and hospitality packs are provided. Prices available on request.

THE AFRICAN VILLAGE HOTEL
